Howard Stern and Billy Graham are people we should look to for their marketing prowess whether they intended it or not.
When you end up with 50,000,000 fans . . . you’re doing something right.
Messaging is the MOST important filter in our business.
Imagine if you’re asked to walk with 50,000 people down a hallway filled with doors. The instructions are to enter one door and one door only. As you walk you see that each door has a title like “scuba diving room”, “coffee lovers”, “bloggers”, “people who’ve been to the Taj Mahal”, “athiests” and many others.
And so you pick one. And you find after you enter you’re among thousands of other people who liked the same thing as you.
Wouldn’t it be easier to sell your ebook in the room of your choice, than it would be in the hallway of unfiltered thousands?
We’re going to talk about the building blocks of messaging as it pertains to the online world and how we turn filter into likes, pins, shares, tweets, pluses and email sign-ups.
And then we’re going to turn those folks into shares, testimonials, comments, growth and sales.
While most people think they understand messaging, most still don’t know where it needs to be most prominently displayed. Most know the common sense of it but not how to execute it.
Howard Stern ended up with 50,000,000 fans that buy his books, listen to his station, wear his shirts and champion his name. If there’s anything he does right, it’s messaging.
