How to Price for Profit and Get Paid What You’re Worth
Have you ever…
-
Sold something you owned in order to buy something else?
-
Put an event up on your vision board because that’s how badly you wanted it?
-
Saved money just to buy that item you’ve been eyeing for the past 2 years?
-
Stopped buying coffee at your favorite cafe so you could spend that money on something else?
Most of us have done at least one of these things and we did it because we thought it was worth it. What if your customers saw you as worth going up on their vision board, worth saving for months just to buy your product, or worth selling something they valued?
That’s what we all envision happening when we open up shop, but that’s rarely the reality.
Starting a business is hard, but bringing in money is another level of hard many of us aren’t quite prepared for. Money can be liberating and frustrating all at the same time. Liberating when you have it, frustrating when you don’t. Sprinkle in the nonsensical belief that as an entrepreneur you should already know how to “make it rain,” and we’re left with even more frustration.
It doesn’t have to be this way. We started our businesses to give us something more; maybe a sense of purpose, more time to do what we love, or to never have to worry about money again. All of those desires being fulfilled boil down to one thing, money.
Your business needs to make a certain amount of money in order for you to have more time to spend as you wish or be debt-free or live out your purpose. It’s no surprise to me then, that when it comes to business and money, the most commonly asked questions I get are “How do I price my product?” followed by “How do I get people to pay me what I’m worth?”
These are great questions because it tells me that they understand how important pricing is to their business and their customers. We want to cover our costs and keep the roof over our head, but we also want our customers to be excited about the price. Yes, excited.
Wouldn’t it be great if the price you want to charge was seen as a steal by your customers?
There are so many different pricing strategies out there — it can be more overwhelming than useful.
In this webinar, we’ll cover some key components and demystify pricing as we dive into:
