When we think of goals, or setting intentions, often we think too simple. We miss out on the biggest inner workings of what really results in massive success. I’m often reminded of the Anaheim Ducks the year they won the Stanley Cup. It was all about setting themselves up in the right way for the actualization of the goal.
A goal has no power if we only think surface thoughts or think too small. When we leave out the important steps we just don’t get the same results. So what do we do?
We start with a little deeper thinking – S.M.A.R.T goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound). This now gives the goal details.
Better but we’re still not there. Not by a mile.
The next step beyond is about why we want to accomplish the goal. Now we’re getting somewhere. Yet, there are still additional elements that really make or break the goals ultimate achievement.
